CNC multi-function processing machine is an integrated machining equipment that integrates multiple processing functions such as turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and boring into one, which has revolutionized the traditional discrete machining mode and become an important symbol of modern precision manufacturing. Unlike single-function CNC machines that can only complete one type of machining operation, multi-function processing machines can realize multiple processes in one clamping of the workpiece, which greatly improves machining efficiency, reduces clamping errors, and ensures the positional accuracy between different surfaces of the workpiece. For example, five-axis multi-function processing machines can complete the integrated processing of complex parts such as aero-engine impellers and medical artificial joints, which not only improves processing accuracy but also shortens the production cycle.

The working process of CNC multi-function processing machines is highly automated and intelligent. First, the CAD model of the workpiece is established, and the CAM software is used to generate the tool path and output the G-code. Then, the workpiece is clamped on the workbench, and the tool length compensation and workpiece coordinate system origin are set through the tool setting operation. After that, the CNC system calls the corresponding tools according to the program and automatically completes multiple processes such as milling, drilling, and turning. During the machining process, the built-in sensor and monitoring system can real-time detect the cutting state, and adjust the cutting parameters adaptively when abnormalities occur, so as to ensure the stability of machining quality. In addition, the closed structure of the machine, equipped with a cutting fluid spray system, not only ensures the safety of operators but also facilitates chip removal, improving the cleanliness of the machining environment. With the development of smart manufacturing, CNC multi-function processing machines are also moving towards more intelligent and flexible directions, such as integrating industrial robots to realize unmanned continuous production and connecting with the MES system to realize intelligent scheduling and quality traceability.
